In 1978, at age 27, John co-founded Prairie Seed & Sales Inc. and in 1980, also helped start Arkansas County Seed Co., Inc. These companies traded seed, grain, feed ingredients and other commodities. John divested his interest in Prairie Seed & Sales in 1986 and obtained 100% of Arkansas County Seed Co., where he was heavily involved in winter seed oat production, development, and marketing for agricultural and cattle production. From these beginnings in the late 1980's, John oversaw the transformation of Arkansas County Seed into what it is today, the world's leading White-tailed Deer Food Plot Seed Company. read more... |
John Morgan Butler Vice President Morgan Butler was born on November 03, 1975, in Stuttgart, AR. After graduating in 1998 with a Bachelors degree in Marketing from the University of Arkansas, Morgan decided that it would be best to first gain work experience through other companies before coming back to the family business. Morgan first went to work as a wholesale grain merchandiser in Vicksburg, MS. After a short time he returned to Arkansas and became a salesman for an electrical whole supply company. He continued with the electrical sales until 2001 went he took a job as a loan office with Bank of America in Little Rock. Morgan worked as a banker for 3 years until 2004 we the decision was made that is was time to start learning the family business. Currently, Morgan is Vice President of Arkansas County Seed Co., Inc. and Southland Transport Services of Stuttgart, LLC. Morgan's main function within Arkansas County Seed is sales and promotion. As an avid deer hunter since age 9, selling and promoting Buck Forage Products is the perfect fit. |
Jake Butler was born in Stuttgart, AR on January 13, 1978. He grew up enjoying the abundant outdoor activities the Stuttgart area has to offer, and developed his love for White-tailed Deer hunting with his father, John Butler, during this time. In 1996, upon graduation from Stuttgart High School, Jake continued his education at the University of Arkansas, majoring in Marketing Management. While in college, Jake worked in the chemical and fertilizer industry and, later, in the banking industry until returning home in 2002 to begin work with his father in the family business, marketing winter oats for cattle forage as well as for White-tailed Deer Food Plots. Jake is currently Vice President of Arkansas County Seed Co, as well as Southland Transport Service of Stuttgart, and is active in all aspects of the business, but spends most of his time working with the many wholesale seed suppliers across the country who offer Buck Forage Oats and Buck Forage Chicory in local markets, as well as assisting in research projects, in an effort to keep Buck Forage Products the top brand of Food Plot Seed around. |
