Buck Forage Clover

Buck Forage Clover is an improved variety of Ladino white clover, a trusted perennial legume for the experienced land manager. A perfect spring/summer complement to Buck Forage Oats and Chicory. Easily established by frost seeding, broadcast, or drilling. Its creeping growth and adventitious root formation fill voids in plantings while resisting grazing pressure. Deer eat only leaves and flowers, so the plant sees little injury and regrows quickly. Extremely high in crude protein and digestible energy. Ideal for frost seeding. Excellent protein source, easy establishment, fast growing, high yielding (~3,000 lbs/acre dry matter). Seeding rate 2–4 lbs/acre, planting depth 1/4". Details: Product type: Bag. Serves 1/2 to 1 acre in combination with Oats and Chicory. How to plant: Broadcast, Roll, Drag. When to sow: South – Fall, North – Fall or Spring.

The Buck Forage Difference

Seed Selected for Forage. Not for the Package.

Most food plot seed is put together to sell, not to produce. Generic blends use filler seed that looks good on a label but does not perform in the field.

Buck Forage seed is selected through decades of research with one goal: grow dependable forage that gives deer a reason to stay on your land. Oats, clover, and chicory selected for forage performance, grazing tolerance, and seasonal reliability.
